Dipped in Gold

There's no magic wand to place the pieces of a broken heart.
Or fix one that was defective from the start, or aid one that just up and fell apart.

Even packaged in lace and displayed on a silver platter,
delivery can be beautiful but sometimes it doesn't matter.
Dip the heart in gold, face it like a diamond.
Appearing virtually indestructible, hard to come by, hard to find them.
What never gets said, though the presentation is desirable,
is the quality of the heart, before it's encased it something that makes it liable.
